Cut Level 3 Gloves

ANSI, the American National Standards Institute, has instituted a standard for work gloves that assigns a cut level that describes what amount of cut protection a glove provides to the wearer.

The ANSI cut level standards were updated in 2016. However, cut level 3 wasn’t changed. ANSI cut level 3 gloves are rated from 1000 to 1499 grams to cut. ANSI cut level 3 gloves should be used for moderate cut hazards, such as in activities similar to light metal stamping and light-duty glass handling situations.
