MSA Airhawk II Industrial Air Mask SCBA and AirFrame Carrier
The MSA Airhawk II mask is a lightweight, durable, and economical Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA). It is designed to allow workers to breathe in a confined industrial environment involving IDLH (immediately dangerous to health or life) conditions where airborne contaminants could significantly impair breathing.
The Airhawk II is a pressure-demand apparatus that maintains positive air pressure inside the facepiece when the user inhales and exhales. This helps prevent contaminants from seeping in and around the facepiece—even should small breaks should occur in the face-to-facepiece seal. The AirFrame™ carrier and harness features large side handles and a central attachment point to pull workers to safety in rescue situations. The harness actually distributes the SCBA’s weight over the user’s hips for added comfort and stability. Its composite backplate is made of glass fiber-reinforced thermoset plastic and is ergonomically designed with spine strain relief.
The mask is NIOSH approved.
This SCBA assembly also includes a medium Ultra-Elite facepiece with a Hycar rubber face seal, rubber head harness, and a low-pressure (2216 psig), 30-minute aluminum cylinder.
