Buckeye 50 lb Purple K Stored Pressure Wheeled Fire Extinguisher with Semi-Pneumatic Rubber Wheels, 47"H x 24"W x 26 1/2"D, 160B:C
The Buckeye K-50-SP puts 50 lb of Purple K (potassium bicarbonate) dry chemical on a welded steel cart, so one person can bring a 160-B:C rating to a flammable-liquid or electrical fire. It discharges for 36 seconds through a 25 ft hose with a 25 to 35 ft range, letting the operator stay back from the heat. At 47 inches tall and 24 inches wide, it rolls through standard doorways and over rough ground on semi-pneumatic rubber tires.
Buckeye designs the K-50-SP for aircraft facilities, offshore rigs, ship docks, refineries, chemical plants, construction sites, and storage and loading facilities. Because Purple K is not an ammonium phosphate (ABC) agent, it is the standard choice for aircraft ramps and fuel servicing areas, where NFPA 407 keeps ABC extinguishers away from aircraft.
