This 3B Scientific elderly hip joint model shows the right hip in half natural size and is intended to support clear patient education, including discussions before surgery. In addition to the external anatomy of the hip joint, the model includes a frontal section through the femoral neck shown in relief on the base. The anatomy also highlights femoral fractures commonly seen in practice, along with wear-related changes of the hip joint such as coxarthrosis, also known as hip osteoarthritis.
Each model includes access to the 3B Smart Anatomy app, which allows product registration to extend the warranty from 3 to 5 years and provides one year of free access to app content. The app includes anatomy lectures, interactive models, and quizzes for additional learning support.
