Product Description
The second edition of the Manual for Version 5 of the Allen Cognitive Level Screen provides guidance for administering the ACL Screen in its Version 5 format. Based on the Cognitive Disabilities Model, the assessment uses verbal and demonstrated directions to observe a person completing three stitching tasks with increasing cognitive complexity. Results provide a quick estimate of global functional cognitive capacity, including learning potential and functional performance abilities. The screen is untimed and typically takes 15 to 30 minutes to administer. Screen scores are criterion-referenced to the Allen Cognitive Scale of Levels and Modes of Performance and should be confirmed with additional functional cognitive assessments as part of a broader evaluation.
