Product Description
The Austin Air Allergy Machine relies on its proprietary three-stage filter system, and this black replacement filter is built to restore that performance in compatible units. It includes 60 sq. ft. of medical-grade True HEPA filter paper and a layer of military-grade HEGA carbon cloth, creating a large filtration surface for capturing airborne particles and helping reduce odors, gases, chemicals, pollutants, viruses, and bacteria. This replacement filter is certified to remove 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 microns or larger and 95% of particles down to 0.1 microns. It is intended for use with Black and Midnight Blue Allergy Machine models and replaces the filter only; the air purifier is sold separately. Installation requires work gloves and a Phillips-head screwdriver. Filter life can vary based on conditions such as pets, carpeting, paint fumes, smoke, and urban pollution. Regular vacuuming of the outer surface of the unit can help maintain performance by removing visible dust and debris.
