Product Description
The Austin Air HealthMate Junior Plus replacement filter is the core service component for compatible Black and Midnight Blue units. It combines a pre-filter with a proprietary 3-stage filtration design that includes 30 sq. ft. of medical-grade True HEPA filter paper, followed by 6.5 lbs. of granular carbon and zeolite impregnated with potassium iodide. This filtration system is intended to help reduce harmful chemicals, noxious gases, VOCs, formaldehyde, odors, and sub-micron particles. It is certified to remove 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 microns or larger and 95% of particles down to 0.1 microns. This listing is for the replacement filter only; the air purifier is sold separately. Installation requires work gloves and a Phillips-head screwdriver. Filter life can vary depending on environmental conditions such as pets, carpeting, paint fumes, smoking, and urban pollution.
