Product Description
The Austin Air Large Black Replacement Pre-Filter is made for use with select standard size Austin Air purifier units, including the Black and Midnight Blue Allergy Machine, Bedroom Machine, HealthMate, HealthMate Plus, and Pet Machine models. This replacement pre-filter is the first stage of the unit’s multi-stage filtration process and is intended to trap larger visible particles such as dust, hair, soot, and pet dander.
By collecting these larger particles before they reach the inner filters, the pre-filter helps reduce buildup and supports the performance of the filtration system over time. It is a replacement-only item and does not include the air purifier or complete filter set. Routine care may include periodically vacuuming the outside of the machine to remove visible surface dust. Replacement can be completed with work gloves and a Phillips-head screwdriver.
Engineered to last up to 5 years, service life may be shorter in environments with heavy pet activity, new carpeting, paint fumes, smoking, urban pollution, or similar conditions.
