Product Description
The Austin Air Large White Replacement Pre-Filter is made for use with compatible standard size Austin Air purifiers, including the White and Sandstone Allergy Machine, Bedroom Machine, HealthMate, HealthMate Plus, and Pet Machine models. As the first stage in Austin Air's multi-stage filtration process, the pre-filter helps trap larger particles such as dust, hair, soot, and pet dander before they reach the inner filters. This can help extend the service life of the internal filter assembly, including the HEPA filter.
For routine care, the outside of the machine can be vacuumed periodically to remove larger dust and particulate matter. Replacement of the pre-filter requires only work gloves and a Phillips-head screwdriver. The filter is engineered to last for up to 5 years, although service life may be shorter in environments with heavy use or increased airborne contamination.
