The Austin Air Allergy Machine relies on its filter system for performance. This replacement filter features a pre-filter surrounding a proprietary 3-stage design with 60 sq. ft. of medical-grade True HEPA filter paper and a layer of military-grade HEGA carbon cloth. Together, these materials provide a large surface area for capturing airborne particles and absorbing chemicals, gases, pollutants, odors, viruses, and bacteria. This white replacement filter is intended for White and Sandstone Allergy Machine units only. The air purifier itself is sold separately. Replacement is straightforward and requires only work gloves and a Phillips-head screwdriver. In normal use, the filter is engineered to last up to 5 years, though conditions such as pets, new carpeting, paint fumes, heavy smoking, urban pollution, or studio environments may reduce service life.
