This pommel cushion is built for patients and users who spend long periods seated in a wheelchair or similar chair. The contoured base and raised pommel help reduce forward sliding and assist in limiting adduction or internal rotation contracture. Measuring 20" x 16" x 3", it fits most standard wheelchairs and offers a supportive seating surface with four foam grades designed to balance comfort and support. The pommel helps separate the knees to reduce skin shear and promote air circulation, while the cushion's size makes it large enough to support the seating area and still convenient to transport. The cover is made from a 4-way stretch polyester/polyurethane blend that repels moisture and is designed for low friction during transfers. A liner in the inner core helps protect the foam, and the cushion is intended to reduce hammocking and help protect the wheelchair seat.
