Product Description
The Compass Health Meridian Ultra-Care Excel System is designed as a full therapy package for pressure ulcer and bed sore care. The system includes an 80 inch by 36 inch mattress, a quilted zipper cover, and an 8 liter per minute air pump. The mattress combines alternating pressure mode with low air loss performance and features 20 rows of 5 inch air cells mounted on a 3 inch integrated foam base for a total of 8 inches of therapeutic support. The foam base also provides added protection in the event of power loss.
The included pump is simple to set up and operate, with retractable hooks for hanging on the bed and a front panel switch for selecting static or alternating therapy. Static mode provides a firmer surface when needed, while the mattress continues to deliver low air loss benefits in either operating mode. The ventilated nylon-polyurethane air cells are designed for durability and easy disconnection, which helps support quick cell replacement and allows targeted deflation for zero-pressure areas without affecting the alternating function of the rest of the mattress.
The quilted nylon cover is low shear, water-resistant, and vapor permeable. It also includes a separate compartment for the foam base to help prevent soiling. CPR quick deflate cells at the head of the mattress provide an added safety feature.
