The Dignity Lifts Helper Lift HL1 offers a compact, electric solution for transporting a person between seated surfaces inside a home or apartment. At 23 inches wide, it is designed to fit through most doorways and to maneuver more easily than a traditional Hoyer-style lift. The lift uses a washable helper-sling placed beneath the resident, then secured with seatbelt-style clips and a removable seatback before lifting begins.
This model is intended for users who can sit upright on their own but need assistance moving from one place to another. The electric actuator, powered by a rechargeable battery, handles the lifting and lowering motion so the caregiver does not bear the resident’s weight during transfer. Large lockable casters and integrated handles support controlled movement once the resident is positioned in the lift.
The HL1 is built to approach from the front and place residents onto a variety of seating surfaces. Its arms, removable seatback, and footpad are designed to support the transfer process and help secure the user during transport. It is a single-person operation designed to replace a two-person transfer for appropriate users.
