Product Description
This bariatric mattress replacement system from Drive Medical is built for pressure management and comfort in demanding care environments. The alternating pressure design is optimized for pressure redistribution and is intended to help prevent, treat, and manage pressure ulcers, including up to Stage IV pressure ulcers, when used as part of an appropriate care plan. The 10-inch deep air cells use a cell-on-cell construction that helps minimize bottoming out, while the advanced digital pump provides customizable settings for user comfort and safety.
The system includes a pillow function that keeps the three air cells at the head of the bed in a static mode for added comfort. If the unit remains in static mode for more than 2 hours, it automatically returns to alternating pressure mode. In the event of a power outage, the mattress system provides up to 24 hours of continued use. The cover is designed with four-way stretch, low shear properties, fluid resistance, vapor permeability, and a quilted zippered construction. If an air cell is damaged, the 20 individual cells can be removed and replaced. Three diagnostic alarms help identify whether an issue is related to the mattress or the pump for easier troubleshooting.
