The Drive SmartDose Mini Auto-Adjusting Oxygen Conserver is designed to deliver a uniform oxygen pulse at settings 1 through 5, with CF present at 2 LPM. It continuously monitors breathing patterns and adjusts the oxygen dose according to activity level, reducing output when less oxygen is needed and increasing delivery by up to two settings during exertion, to a maximum pulse dose setting of 7. The unit operates with a quiet, gentle dose of oxygen in a compact housing that is easy to carry.
For power, the conserver can use 2 AA alkaline batteries or 2 AA rechargeable batteries, with a battery duration of about 1 year for most patients. It includes an auto shut-off feature to help conserve battery life. With a weight of 15.5 ounces with batteries, it fits easily into virtually any carry bag and is built for portable oxygen use within an operating pressure range of 500 to 3000 PSI.
