The unit is equipped with a variable control and 30 minute timer switch, along with an on/off indicator light on the control panel. Its mobile design adjusts from 31 inches to 52 inches in height and extends 15 inches over the bed for flexible patient positioning in clinical settings.
The heating element uses nickel-chromium resistance wire embedded in a ceramic casting to support even heat transmission and low element surface temperature. Ceramic fiber insulation inside the element helps conserve energy and reduce heat buildup at the terminal area. The unit changes from coral to gray when energized and produces no visible light. Heat up time is 3 to 9 minutes to reach 90 degrees of maximum temperature. Operates on 110V.
