Product Description
FlexStep V2 is a versatile accessibility system that functions as both a staircase and a lift for wheelchair users. This 6-step outdoor model is intended for travel heights up to 1250 mm, and travel above 1110 mm requires the space-saving 2-stop point feature, where the upper step sits below the upper threshold and the threshold acts as step no. 7. The platform length on the 6-step model is 1830 mm.
The fold-down ramp allows users to roll onto and off the platform, and it must be raised and locked before the lift can operate. Safety features include pressure plates under the platform to stop operation if an object is detected, infra-red protection between the steps to help reduce crushing risks, and automatic stopping in the event of overload or uneven weight distribution. Acoustic alarms indicate the lift's movements, and built-in batteries provide power during an outage.
A fixed staircase can be installed indoors or outdoors and is available with round or square balustrades to coordinate with the FlexStep design. Fixed step widths are available in 700 mm, 800 mm, 900 mm, or 1,000 mm configurations.
