Product Description
FlexStep V2 is a versatile indoor accessibility system that functions as both a staircase and a lift for wheelchair users. It is intended for installations where space is limited and a separate stairlift and staircase would be difficult to accommodate. The 5-step configuration is designed for travel up to 1110 mm and includes a platform length of 1525 mm. Fixed stairs can be installed leading to the front wall and floor, with round or square balustrades available to coordinate with the system.
The fold-down ramp allows users to roll onto and off the platform, and it must be raised and locked before lift operation begins. Safety features include pressure plates beneath the platform that stop operation if an object is detected, an infra-red safety device between the steps to help reduce crushing risk, and automatic stopping in the event of overload or uneven weight distribution. Acoustic alarms provide audible feedback during movement, and built-in batteries supply power during an outage.
