Product Description
The Liftup FlexStep V2 1000 is a 6-step indoor stairlift system that functions as both a staircase and a lift for wheelchair users. It is intended for travel heights up to 1250 mm, and installations above 1110 mm require the space-saving 2-stop point feature, where the upper step sits below the upper threshold and the threshold becomes step 7. The 6-step model includes a platform length of 1830 mm and is designed to integrate into existing spaces where room is limited. Fixed staircase widths are available in 700 mm, 800 mm, 900 mm, or 1000 mm.
The ramp folds down to allow entry and exit, then must be raised and locked before the lift can move. Safety features include pressure plates under the platform that stop operation if an object is detected below, an infra-red device between the steps to help reduce the risk of crushing, and automatic stopping in the event of overload or uneven weight distribution. Acoustic alarms indicate lift movement, and batteries provide power during an outage. A fixed staircase can be built indoors or outdoors, with round or square balustrades available to coordinate with the FlexStep design.
