Product Description
The Liftup FlexStep V2 1000 is a versatile outdoor accessibility system that functions as both a stairway and a lift for wheelchair users. This 2+1 step model is designed for travel heights from 240 to 370 mm and includes a short lower step with an extra long upper step. When converted for lift use, the platform length is 1210 mm. The fixed staircase can be installed outdoors and may be supplied with round or square balustrades to coordinate with the system. The fold-down ramp allows users to roll onto and off the platform, and it must be raised and locked before movement begins.
For safety, the system includes pressure plates under the platform that stop operation if an object is detected below, an infra-red safety device between the steps to help reduce crushing risk, and automatic stopping in the event of overload or uneven weight distribution. Acoustic alarms signal lift movement, and built-in batteries provide power during an outage. The fixed steps are available in widths of 700 mm, 800 mm, 900 mm, or 1,000 mm, making the system adaptable to a range of space and access requirements.
