The Liftup FlexStep V2 combines steps and a lift in one space-saving solution for indoor or outdoor installation. It is designed for locations where a separate staircase and stairlift would be difficult to fit, while providing access for both walking users and wheelchair users.
Product Description
FlexStep is a versatile 3-in-1 access system that functions as both a staircase and a lift platform. The 3-step model is intended for travel heights up to 74 mm. With one stop, the lifting height ranges from 360 to 555 mm, and with an additional top stop software setting, the range increases to 480 to 740 mm. A fixed staircase can be installed to the front wall and floor, and the unit can be configured for indoor or outdoor use.
The ramp folds down to allow roll-on and roll-off access, then raises and locks before the lift moves. Safety features include pressure plates under the platform that stop operation if an object is detected, an infra-red safety device between the steps to help reduce crushing risk, automatic stopping in cases of overload or uneven weight distribution, and acoustic alarms to indicate movement. Built-in batteries provide power during an outage. Fixed steps are available in widths of 700 mm, 800 mm, 900 mm, or 1,000 mm, and the stair design can be paired with round or square balustrades for a coordinated installation.
