The Liftup FlexStep V2 700 4+1 is an indoor stairlift and step system that functions as both a fixed staircase and a lift for wheelchair users. Its space-saving design is intended for projects where accommodating separate stairs and a stairlift is difficult, while still providing practical access in a compact footprint. The 4+1 model includes a platform length of 1495 mm and is designed with a 700 mm step width. For installations with travels higher than 740 mm, the space-saving 2-stop point feature is required, where the upper step sits below the upper threshold and the threshold functions as step no. 5. The system includes a fold-down ramp for boarding and disembarking, which must be raised and locked before movement begins. Safety features include pressure plates under the platform, an infra-red safety device between the steps, automatic stopping in the event of overload or uneven weight distribution, and acoustic alarms during operation. Batteries are integrated to provide power in the event of an outage.
