Product Description
FlexStep is a dual-function access system that serves as both a staircase and a wheelchair lift, making it a practical option where installing separate stairs and a stairlift is difficult. This indoor model features a 2-step configuration with a short lower step and an extra-long upper step, creating a platform length of 1210 mm when used as a lift. The fixed staircase is installed to the front wall and floor, and can be paired with round or square balustrades to match the installation. The fold-down ramp allows a user to roll onto and off the platform, then is raised and locked before the lift operates. Safety systems include pressure plates under the platform, an infra-red device between the steps, automatic stopping for overload or uneven weight distribution, acoustic movement alarms, and batteries that provide power during an outage.
