Product Description
Liftup FlexStep V2 is a compact 2-in-1 accessibility solution that functions as both a staircase and a wheelchair lift. It is intended for indoor installations where space constraints make it difficult to accommodate separate stairs and a lift. This 900 mm wide 2+1 step model is designed for travel distances from 240 to 370 mm and features a short lower step with an extra-long upper step. When converted into a wheelchair lift, the platform length is 1210 mm.
The system includes a folding ramp that lowers for entry and exit, then raises and locks before the lift moves. Safety features include pressure plates under the platform that stop operation if an object is detected, an infra-red safety device between the steps to help minimize crushing risk, and automatic stopping in the event of overload or uneven weight distribution. Acoustic alarms provide movement alerts, and integrated batteries supply power during an outage.
Fixed steps can be supplied in widths of 700 mm, 800 mm, 900 mm, or 1,000 mm, and balustrades can be round or square to suit the installation. The design is intended to integrate neatly into existing spaces while providing both stair access and lift access in one unit.
