Product Description
FlexStep is a versatile stairlift and step system that provides both regular steps and lift access for wheelchair users in a single installation. This indoor 5-step model is intended for applications where a conventional staircase and separate stairlift would take up too much space. The fixed staircase is built to suit the installation area, while the fold-down ramp allows users to roll onto and off the platform before the lift moves. The ramp is raised and locked before operation begins.
For safety and dependable operation, the FlexStep includes pressure plates under the platform that stop movement if an object is detected below, as well as an infra-red safety device between the steps to help reduce crushing risk. The platform also stops automatically if the system detects overload or uneven weight distribution. Acoustic alarms provide movement alerts during operation, and built-in batteries supply power in the event of an outage. The 5-step model has a platform length of 1525 mm and is intended for travel heights up to 1110 mm. Fixed steps are available in widths of 700 mm, 800 mm, 900 mm, or 1,000 mm.
