Product Description
FlexStep V2 combines fixed steps and a lift platform in one space-saving unit, making it suitable for installations where both stairs and a stairlift are needed but space is limited. This outdoor 2+1 step version is intended for travel heights from 240 to 370 mm and uses a short lower step with an extra long upper step. When transformed into a wheelchair lift, the platform length is 1210 mm. A fixed staircase can be installed leading up to the front wall and floor, and round or square balustrades are available to coordinate with the design. The ramp folds down to allow access onto and off the platform, then raises and locks before movement begins. Safety functions include pressure plates under the platform, an infra-red safety device between the steps, automatic stopping in case of overload or uneven weight distribution, and acoustic alarms during operation. Built-in batteries provide power during an outage. Fixed steps are available in 700 mm, 800 mm, 900 mm, or 1,000 mm widths.
