Product Description
FlexStep is a combined stair and wheelchair lift system designed to make efficient use of available space. This outdoor 2+2 model includes fixed steps and a lift platform, offering a practical access solution where fitting both a staircase and a separate stairlift would be difficult. The 2-step version is intended for travel heights from 240 to 370 mm and uses a short lower step with an extra-long upper step. When converted to wheelchair lift mode, the platform length is 1210 mm.
The staircase is installed to the front wall and floor and can be configured with round or square balustrades to match the FlexStep design. For wheelchair use, the ramp folds down to allow roll-on and roll-off access, then raises and locks before the lift moves. Safety features include pressure plates under the platform to stop operation if an object is detected, an infra-red safety device between the steps to reduce the risk of crushing, and automatic stop protection in cases of overload or uneven weight distribution. Acoustic alarms signal lift movement, and built-in batteries provide power in the event of an outage.
