The Liftup FlexStep V2 900 4+1 steps outdoor model is a combined staircase and wheelchair lift system designed for installations where a separate stairway and stairlift are not practical. This 4+1 configuration includes a platform length of 1495 mm and is intended for travel heights up to 925 mm. For travel heights above 740 mm, the space-saving 2-stop point feature is required, placing the upper step below the upper threshold and using the threshold as step five. The fixed staircase can be installed indoors or outdoors, and the step width options are designed to integrate with a variety of spaces and layouts.
The ramp folds down to allow the user to roll onto and off the platform, then rises and locks before movement begins. Safety features include pressure plates under the platform that stop operation if an object is detected below, infra-red safety protection between the steps to reduce crushing risk, and automatic stopping in the event of overload or uneven weight distribution. Acoustic alarms provide movement alerts, and built-in batteries supply power during an outage. The stair system can also be supplied with round or square balustrades to match the installation.
