Product Description
This thumb orthosis is based on the Comfort Cool CMC Restriction Splint design and adds a firm, moldable insert within the thumb strap. The thermoplastic insert can be softened by microwaving the strap, then molded to follow the thenar eminence crease for a more tailored fit. The thumb strap is intended to abduct and stabilize the first metacarpal while helping open the thumb web space. It is intended for use with thumb deformity and contractures associated with neurological conditions, median nerve injuries, or arthritis, particularly when the thumb is held abducted against the palm. This version is black, sized large for a 8" to 9" circumference, and made without natural rubber latex.
