Product Description
This Comfort Cool thumb orthosis builds on the Comfort Cool CMC Restriction Splint design and adds a firm, moldable insert inside the thumb strap for improved positioning. The thermoplastic insert can be microwaved to soften, then molded to better follow the contour of the thenar eminence crease. The strap helps abduct and stabilize the first metacarpal while opening the thumb web space. It is intended for use in managing thumb deformity and contractures associated with neurological conditions, median nerve injuries, or arthritis, particularly when the thumb is held abducted against the palm. This left-hand, large size version fits a circumference of 8 to 9 inches and is made without natural rubber latex.
