Product Description
Built on the Comfort Cool CMC Restriction Splint design, this thumb CMC abduction orthosis adds a firm, moldable insert within the thumb strap for improved customization. The thermoplastic insert can be microwaved and then molded to follow the thenar eminence crease, helping the orthosis fit more closely and support the thumb in a more functional position. The strap is intended to abduct and stabilize the first metacarpal while opening the thumb web space. It is suitable for use with thumb deformity and contractures associated with neurological conditions, median nerve injuries, or arthritis, particularly when the thumb rests abducted against the palm. The orthosis is made without natural rubber latex and is supplied in black.
