Product Description
This Comfort Cool Thumb CMC Abduction Orthosis builds on the Comfort Cool CMC Restriction Splint design and adds a firm, moldable insert inside the thumb strap. The thermoplastic insert can be softened by microwaving the thumb strap, then molded to follow the thenar eminence crease for a more individualized fit. The thumb strap is intended to abduct and stabilize the first metacarpal while helping open the thumb web space. It is suitable for use when managing thumb deformity and contractures related to neurological conditions, median nerve injuries, or arthritis, particularly when the thumb tends to rest abducted against the palm. This medium right-hand version is black and is made without natural rubber latex.
