Product Description
Built on the Comfort Cool CMC Restriction Splint design, this thumb CMC abduction orthosis adds a firm, moldable insert inside the thumb strap for improved shaping and positioning. The insert can be microwaved to soften it and then molded to follow the thenar eminence crease more closely. The thumb strap is intended to abduct and stabilize the first metacarpal while helping open the thumb web space. It is suitable for use with thumb deformity and contractures associated with neurological conditions, median nerve injuries, or arthritis, particularly when the thumb is held abducted against the palm. This right-hand version is made without natural rubber latex and comes in black.
