OPED NEXELLOhand Intrinsic provides wrist immobilization with fixation of the long fingers while keeping the thumb freely movable. The orthosis includes a deformable aluminum core that can be bent to match the shape of the hand and forearm, allowing individual adjustment without the use of water or heat. The fit can be changed again at any time as needed.
The inner material is made from cotton and elastane with an antibacterial coating for a skin-friendly, hypoallergenic wearing experience. The outer Velcro material combines velvet and foam and includes small perforations to support breathability. Four adjustable straps help secure the orthosis in the desired position, and the design can be used on either the right or left wrist.
This model is available in Small/Medium size, fitting wrist circumferences up to 7 in (18 cm), with an orthosis length of 13.4 in (34 cm). It is suitable for preoperative, postoperative, post-traumatic, inflammatory, degenerative, CTS, and metacarpal fracture applications.
