Pollex Pro is a stabilizing thumb orthosis designed for the left hand in Large size. It is intended for thumb immobilization in cases such as ligament injuries, post-traumatic conditions, and degenerative irritation, while leaving the wrist and remaining fingers free to move.
Product Description
The OPED Pollex Pro is a thumb splint made to support and immobilize the thumb during treatment of thumb injuries and related conditions. It is suitable for thumb immobilization, ligament injuries of the thumb after trauma, pre- and post-operative degenerative irritation, and rhizarthrosis without a surgical indication. The one-piece shell provides reinforcement on the dorsal and palmar sides as well as between the thumb and index finger for stable positioning.
The orthosis opens completely, allowing it to be applied with minimal discomfort. Three Velcro fasteners on the thumb and a Velcro fastener with a shortened strap and micro-Velcro above the wrist allow flexible adjustment to swelling changes and individual anatomy. The skin-friendly, washable material and soft lining under the shell are designed for comfortable wear. The wrist and remaining fingers stay free, supporting mobility where it is not restricted by treatment needs.
Pollex Pro can also be combined with the OPTIVOhand wrist orthosis to help immobilize both the thumb and wrist with coordinated support.
