Product Description
Pollex Pro is a stabilizing thumb splint for use with thumb injuries requiring immobilization and support. It is intended for thumb ligament injuries after trauma, pre- and post-operative degenerative irritation, and rhizarthrosis without an indication for surgery. The orthosis opens completely and is secured with three hook-and-loop fasteners on the thumb and one fastener above the wrist with a shortened strap and micro-hook-and-loop closure. A skin-friendly, washable material and soft lining under the shell are designed to improve wearing comfort. The one-piece shell provides reinforcement on the dorsal and palmar sides, as well as between the thumb and index finger, while allowing the wrist and remaining fingers to stay free. The splint can be adjusted to accommodate different swelling conditions and individual anatomy, and it may be combined with the OPTIVOhand wrist orthosis for additional wrist immobilization.
