The Orfit Isoforce Outrigger is intended for use in orthotic applications that address PIP joint contractures. It is especially suitable for contractures above a 30-degree angle and is designed to provide a highly aesthetic solution with minimal movement restriction. The outrigger helps maintain both constant force transmission and a consistent force application angle throughout the finger's range of motion.
This medium size is based on the circumference of the proximal interphalangeal joint and fits a circumference of 2.25" to 2.75" (5.5 cm to 7 cm). It can be used for dynamic orthosis with Orficast Thermoplastic on a roll or for static progressive orthosis with Orfit Sheet Material.
