Product Description
This Prodigy Pocket blood glucose meter is designed for simple everyday use and portability. Insert a test strip to power the unit on automatically, then take a reading in 7 seconds. The meter supports Alternate Site Testing (AST), allowing blood samples to be taken from the palm, forearm, upper arm, calf, or thigh rather than only the fingertip. A standard USB port makes it easy to download stored readings to Prodigy's free diabetes management software.
The meter stores up to 120 test results with date and time, and also provides 7-, 14-, and 28-day averages. It includes an automatic shutoff feature after one minute of inactivity to help conserve battery life. The system comes with the meter, battery, carrying case, and owner's manual. Test strips, lancets, lancing device, and control solution are not included and must be purchased separately.
