Compared with dry heat at the same temperature, moist heat penetrates more effectively and may provide deeper tissue heating. The pack can be ready for use in less than an hour when heated in a stove, microwave, or other heating unit. Once heated, it should be handled by the corner tab and wrapped in a towel or covering before use. Each pack can provide up to 30 minutes of hot, moist relief.
