Product Overview
Product Summary
The Rifton Compass Chair is an inclusion chair designed for children and adults with mild disabilities who need added postural support in classroom settings. Its high armrests, raised sides, and ergonomic seat and back help promote stable sitting and comfortable positioning.
Product Description
The Rifton Compass Chair with standard high friction legs is a Class 1 medical device made for classroom use and supportive seating. The high armrests can help users with poor upper trunk muscle control maintain posture, while the raised sides provide lateral hip support and the shaped seat and back encourage a more secure sitting position. The standard legs are designed with high friction to help keep the chair more stationary, and they can be adjusted slightly for seat height, tilt, or positioning. Short armrests allow the user to sit closer to a table and also support transfers.
This Size 2 chair is intended for users 43" to 48" tall and supports up to 120 lb. The seat and seatback have a non-slip texture for added security. The chair arrives fully assembled and includes four adjustable legs with rubber tips. Its simple blue design blends well into classroom environments, and the hand-built construction reflects the attention to quality in every unit. Optional seat belts and stability feet are available separately for additional support.
