Product Description
The U-Step 2 Cueing Module is an accessory made specifically for U-Step 2 walkers. It combines a red laser line with an adjustable sound cue to help users restart movement, follow a walking rhythm, and support more consistent stepping. The laser projects a visible line on the floor as a visual target, while the audio feature provides a steady beat that can be adjusted to match walking preferences.
The module is intended for users with Parkinson's freezing and may also be used by individuals with irregular gait patterns. It is simple to operate, using one-button control to activate or shut off the unit. When the sound cue is not enabled, the laser turns off after 4 minutes and the unit shuts off 4 minutes later. When auditory cueing is enabled, the unit does not time out.
The audio cadence can be adjusted from 59 to 130 beats per minute in 15 increments. Laser time-out can be adjusted from 4 to 28 minutes in 4-minute increments. The unit requires two AA batteries for operation. A green laser option is also available, with the noted differences in visibility, battery use, and temperature range.
