The Corbett Targeted Coin Test Box evaluates palm-to-fingertip in-hand manipulation (IHM) by requiring coin translation from the palm to the fingertips and insertion into vertically and randomly positioned slots. This testing method places greater demands on visual-motor coordination, differential tendon glide, and proprioceptive control than many standard pegboard tests. It allows clinicians to observe recovery of shift, rotation, and translation components of IHM while supporting qualitative and quantitative reporting.
