The FlexStep V2 1000 4+1 steps outdoor model is a versatile staircase and lift solution that can be installed where compact access is required. It functions as fixed steps for everyday use and as a lift platform for wheelchair users, helping create practical access in tight spaces. The 4+1 configuration includes a platform length of 1495 mm and is intended for travel heights up to 925 mm. For travel heights above 740 mm, the space-saving 2-stop point feature is required, where the upper step sits below the upper threshold and the threshold becomes step five in the sequence. The staircase can be installed indoors or outdoors, and fixed steps are available in widths of 700 mm, 800 mm, 900 mm, or 1,000 mm. A fold-down ramp allows users to roll onto and off the platform, and it must be raised and locked before movement begins. Safety features include pressure plates under the platform, an infra-red safety device between the steps, automatic stopping in the event of overload or uneven weight distribution, acoustic movement alerts, and battery backup for power continuity during an outage.
