Product Description
The FlexStep V2 700 is a 4-step outdoor system that functions as both a staircase and a lift platform for wheelchair users. It is designed for installations where space is limited and a traditional staircase and stairlift would be difficult to accommodate. The fixed staircase can be built for indoor or outdoor use, and the 4-step model is intended for travel up to 925 mm. For travel above 740 mm, the space-saving 2-stop point feature is used, with the upper step positioned below the upper threshold so the threshold becomes step 5 in the staircase layout. The 4-step model includes a platform length of 1220 mm and can be configured with round or square balustrades to suit the installation.
The ramp folds down to allow the user to roll onto or off the platform, then raises and locks before movement begins. Safety features include pressure plates under the platform that stop operation if an object is detected, infra-red protection between the steps to help reduce crushing risk, automatic stopping in the event of overload or uneven weight distribution, and acoustic alarms that signal lift movements. Built-in batteries provide power during an outage. Fixed steps are available in widths of 700 mm, 800 mm, 900 mm, or 1,000 mm.
