Product Description
FlexStep V2 is a versatile stairlift and step solution that functions as both a fixed staircase and a lift for wheelchair users. The 800 mm wide 4+1 step outdoor model is intended for spaces where a separate stairway and stairlift would be difficult to fit, providing an integrated access option that can be installed outdoors. This version has a platform length of 1495 mm and is designed for travel up to 925 mm. For travel higher than 740 mm, the space-saving 2-stop point feature is required, where the upper step sits below the upper threshold and the threshold serves as step 5.
The system includes a fold-down ramp for rolling onto and off the platform, which is raised and locked before movement begins. Safety features include pressure plates under the platform to stop operation if an object is detected below, infra-red protection between the steps to help reduce crush risk, automatic shutdown in the event of overload or uneven weight distribution, and acoustic alarms to signal movement. Built-in batteries provide power during an outage. Fixed steps are available in multiple widths, and balustrade options can be selected to suit the installation.
