The Sandcruiser Dune Buster model is built for challenging outdoor environments and is suited for use on beaches, trails, sports fields, and similar surfaces. Four 49 cm Wheeleez balloon wheels provide soft, pliable contact that helps the chair glide over loose or uneven terrain, while also supporting increased payload capacity. This model is rated for up to 135 kg (298 lbs).
The frame is made from electropolished 316 marine grade stainless steel for strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. A handle extension bar improves leverage and handling, and drop-nose frame connector pins support tool-free assembly and disassembly for easier transport and storage. The adjustable leg rest includes padded hinge protectors as standard equipment.
For stability and safety, the anti-tip and brake bar functions as a parking brake and helps prevent backward tipping without requiring adjustment. Padded armrests swing up to assist with transfers, and the upholstery uses marine-grade acrylic canvas that is UV stable and resistant to mold, rot, and saltwater. Quick-release buckles allow the upholstery to be removed easily for cleaning and storage.
