Product Description
FlexStep V2 is a versatile stairlift and step system that provides both a fixed staircase and a lift platform for wheelchair users. Designed for outdoor use, it is well suited to locations where there is not enough room for a separate staircase and stairlift. The 4+1 configuration includes a platform length of 1495 mm and supports travel up to 925 mm. For travel heights above 740 mm, the space-saving 2-stop point feature is required, where the upper step sits below the upper threshold and step 5 functions as the threshold level.
The staircase is installed as a fixed unit leading to the front wall and floor, and balustrades can be supplied in round or square styles to match the system. The fold-down ramp allows users to roll onto and off the platform, then is raised and locked before movement begins. Safety features include pressure plates under the platform that stop operation if an object is detected, infra-red protection between the steps to reduce the risk of crushing, automatic stopping in the event of overload or uneven weight distribution, and acoustic alarms that signal lift movement. Built-in batteries provide power during an outage.
