Product Description
FlexStep V2 is a versatile stair and lift system that provides conventional steps for walking access and a lift platform for wheelchair users. This indoor 4-step model is designed for installations where it is difficult to accommodate both a staircase and a separate stairlift. The fixed staircase is built to the front wall and floor, and the ramp folds down to allow rolling onto and off the platform before being raised and locked for travel. The 4-step version is intended for travel heights up to 925 mm, and travel heights above 740 mm require the space-saving 2-stop point configuration, where the upper step sits below the upper threshold. The platform length is 1220 mm, and the fixed steps are available in 700 mm, 800 mm, 900 mm, or 1,000 mm widths. Safety features include pressure plates under the platform to stop operation if an object is detected, infra-red protection between the steps to help reduce the risk of crushing, automatic stop protection in cases of overload or uneven weight distribution, acoustic alarms during movement, and batteries for power support in the event of an outage. Round or square balustrades are available to complement the installation.
